1. Who operates NEON DROP
NEON DROP is operated by Donacgreece. This policy explains how information is handled when you visit, play or install the web version of NEON DROP.
2. Information stored on your device
The game uses browser storage to remember information needed for gameplay and preferences:
- Your chosen player name
- Your personal best and on device Top 10 scores
- Ball unlocks, Ball Mastery and achievement progress
- Sound, haptic, screen shake and flash preferences
- Installation and tutorial status
This information remains on your device except for the leaderboard information described below. You can remove local information by clearing the site's browser data. Removing an installed PWA may not automatically clear browser storage on every platform.
3. Global leaderboard
NEON DROP uses Supabase to provide one public leaderboard across the web, Android and future supported platforms. The service creates a random anonymous identifier for the installation. No email address or password is required.
When a score is submitted, the leaderboard stores the nickname entered by the player, best score, platform, number of gates, best combo, anonymous identifier and submission timestamps. The nickname, a short anonymous player tag, score and platform can be displayed publicly. Use a nickname and do not enter your real name or other personal information.
Supabase processes this information and technical request data as a service provider. Learn more in the Supabase Privacy Policy.
4. Google Analytics
NEON DROP uses Google Analytics to understand how the game is discovered and used. Google Analytics may collect information such as device and browser type, approximate location, pages viewed, session activity and gameplay events such as game starts, scores, streaks, feature use and completed runs.
Google may process identifiers, cookies, IP addresses and related usage data according to its own policies. Ball Mastery history remains local. Public leaderboard data is handled separately as described above.
Learn more in Google's Privacy Policy. You can also use the Google Analytics opt out browser add on where supported.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
Browser storage is used for essential game progress and settings. Google Analytics may use cookies or similar technologies for measurement. Your browser controls can block or delete cookies and stored site data, but deleting essential local data will reset your scores, settings and unlock progress.
6. Challenge links and sharing
When you choose to share a score, NEON DROP creates a challenge link containing the player name you entered and the score to beat. The link and generated score image are shared only through the destination you select. Avoid using your real name if you do not want it included in a challenge link.
7. Progressive Web App
If you install NEON DROP, a Service Worker stores game files on your device so the game can launch reliably and receive updates. These cached files are functional and are not used to build an advertising profile.
8. Advertising
Advertising is not currently active on NEON DROP. If advertising is enabled in the future, this policy will be updated and an appropriate consent system will be introduced where required.
Future advertising may be provided by Google AdSense or other disclosed advertising partners. Third party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve and measure ads. Google's use of advertising cookies may allow Google and its partners to show ads based on visits to NEON DROP or other websites.
You can manage personalized advertising through Google Ads Settings. Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland will be shown the required consent choices before advertising cookies or personalized advertising are enabled.
9. Data retention and deletion
Locally stored game data remains until you clear the site's data in your browser. Clearing local data does not automatically remove a score already submitted to the public leaderboard. Leaderboard information is retained while the service operates or until it is no longer needed. Analytics information is retained according to the settings of the NEON DROP Google Analytics property and Google's applicable retention practices.
You can stop future analytics collection by using browser privacy controls, blocking the analytics script or using Google's opt out tool. Requests concerning information controlled by Google should also be directed through Google's privacy tools.
10. Children
NEON DROP does not require an account and does not knowingly request personal contact information from children. Players should use a nickname rather than a real name. If you believe a child has shared personal information through a feature controlled by NEON DROP, please contact the operator.
11. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights concerning access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or withdrawal of consent. Because most game progress is stored only on your device, you can directly remove that information through your browser settings. For deletion of a public leaderboard entry, contact the operator with the exact nickname and score so the request can be verified and handled.
12. Security and external services
Reasonable measures are used to keep the website secure. No method of internet transmission or device storage is completely secure. Links to external services are governed by the privacy policies of those services.
13. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when NEON DROP adds features, advertising partners, a custom domain or new legal requirements. The effective date at the top of this page will show the latest revision.
14. Contact
For privacy questions or requests, contact Donacgreece through the official GitHub profile.
This policy describes the current web version of NEON DROP. A separately distributed mobile application may display an additional app specific privacy notice if its data practices differ.
